Welcome Christmas!

It is, by far, my favorite time of the year. As the years slip away, it feels as though the Holidays sneak up on us faster and faster. So today as I was unpacking the glitter and greens, I made a promise to myself, I am going to enjoy each day of this season. I will do my best to let go of the stress, so easily to be caught up in. I will embrace each moment. I want to give praise for our many blessings . And with Eric next to me and my 3 little ladies in tow....give as much as we possibly can to those lost, less fortunate and in need of an extra touch of comfort this year.

Tis this Season, may each and everyone of you be blessed this Season!!
 Xoxo ~ Molly

a little more travel....

Once again, we are packing! We were hardly home all summer (wonderful).  This time Dad is coming with us.  After 4 months at his new job, he is taking some much needed/deserved time off.  So off to the mountains we shall go...tuck ourselves away behind a couple of very old pine trees.  We will soak up the last of the summer sun.  We will jump off the docks into the refreshing waters of the lake.  But most importantly, we get to be with just US.  Our family: Dad, myself, 3 little ladies and our dog, Brie.  At home we have a very busy life but in the mountains, we loose track of time.  We eat when we are hungry, we break out Lucky Charms and order french fries and ice cream from the snack shack.  We sleep in and take naps.  We take walks and play games.  We hardly watch TV, we don't have phone reception (thank you God as I have a pre teen).  There are no malls...there are a few antique shops and a soda fountain. Make up stays home and a swim suit is the only requirement.  Our little family cabin is a blessing. Happy Labor Day to ya all!

My littlest lady...

A little nature walk...and sister love

Two blonde girls...she is still blonde, me not so much!!!

My oldest gal...so graceful..

Until next time, I need to finish packing!!!!

Days 6-14 Mid West Gals Trip

Day 6 (or Day 7...who's counting?): 6 Flags St. Louis

And what shall we ride first?

 Fun with my baby!
 Anyone for a Scooby Snack?
More Cousin fun

Day 7: At the park

Laney finds a giraffe, New Town, St. Charles
Mom finds another barn :) Happiness

Katie finds Beiber on Day 8

Day 9: Laney hangs out on a giant bubble at another fabulous water park. Weather still in the 90's, great way to cool off.

One Beautiful Church, St. Charles

Day 10: It is never easy to say goodbye.  It was time to leave Missouri, we had already extended our stay by 2 days.  My Mom needed help back in Arkansas, she still hadn't been able to settle in her new house. We had to say "See you soon" to our Mid West family. We had many many tears. Katie and Molly became the best of friends/cousins.  They have a very special bond...a beautiful friendship.

Truly one of my best friends/cousin.  I wish we lived next door to each other. She makes me smile!
 The Cousins minus a few.

My sweet Aunties!!

We stopped in Pacific, Missouri.  I had learned my Great Grandfather had built a Catholic church in this darling town.  The girls and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to check out a piece of our history.  We pulled up to this gorgeous piece of land and there she stood, so proud.

OH, did I happen to find a little shopping on the way out of town..Geeeshh! Picked up a new vintage cross.  It currently hangs in my bedroom, enclosed in glass with a rock from my grandfathers church.

The grease factor, we couldn't pass up the chance to try this puppy out. Fabulous burgers!

10 hours later (no thanks to the navigation in the car)...we arrive back to grandma

Day 10: Spent at the mall, cooling off with frozen yogurt and more shopping.

Day 11: Lake time = Good times

And looky what we have here....another beautiful barn...smile

Day 12: Aunt Marilyn comes in from Kansas to visit moms new house and these little monkeys. What a gracious lady she is. So full of happiness and love.

Day 13...Looking for more pics of us at the lake and time spent with mom and Chuck.

Day 14 Back to California, with tears in my eyes and love in the soul.

Mid West trip just the gals

Looking forward to updating my post on this amazing trip.  Days 7-14 will have to wait until we get home.  We are having a great time back in Arkansas. Can hardly believe we are on the tail end of our trip. Just 3 more days and we will be back in California....so crazy to think it! We miss Dad and Brie our doggy...But I would move our here in a minute.  Life is so much different out here, in a nutshell, it is more simple and the important things in life are the focus.  I don't think my hubby could be talked into movin out this way.
Until I am able to get online, on MY lap top.....TO BE CONTINUED :)

Mid West Gals Adventure

Day 5: Missouri

These California Gals are havin a hard time gettin up in these parts here!  Well, all you had to say is "FEATHERS"...all 4 girls (my 3 little ladies and cousin Molly) jumped in the car and headed to the beauty shop where they had rooster feather extensions put in their hair.  All were THRILLED!!

Katie and Molly are more than thrilled to show off their feathers...who wouldn't want feathers?

From feathers bliss, we popped on over to my sweet Aunt Susies house for a little family gathering.  The two ladies on each side of me are my amazing Aunts! We lost my dad, their brother, 12 years ago but what a blessing to see my dads eyes and smile shine through them.  They are two of the most loveliest ladies in this world! I am so fortunate to have them as part of my life!

 Oh and the models again....

and cousins taking a walk...I wonder if they are talking about the fact that we just found out that we are not only part Cherokee but also Choctaw...Nope, don't think they care.  I DO!!! I have been bragging for 39 years about my Cherokee skin, now I find out Im part of another tribe...wait, why does it matter??

Tween cousins...nothing compares to family!

Oh, we have another model!

We had NO fun at all!! Just saying!! These two will not be able to part, I repeat NOT. With that said, we have decided to extend our stay by 2 days. :)

Day 6: Missouri- Water Park

This day I think we hit 98 and don't forget the humidity.  We cooled off at the water park, great choice.

Allie wastes no time jumping on the slides..

    Katie kickin up the speed!

Delaney didn't meet the measurement requirements so she hung on the little slides..
 Fun with Miss Molly...

                                                               and the models again....

Old Town St. Charles, the first capital of Missouri and home of Budweiser.

After dinner at Louis and Clarks Restaurant, we walked along the river and snapped shots of the darling cousins.  Love have them together..

and little Miss Laney caught a lightening bug! She was thrilled!

Grabbing some sleep before we hit another water park tomorrow..to be continued!
